Bought, Sold & Valued

Used machine tools, placed with the businesses that need them.

H. Millen & Son value surplus machine tools, plant and workshop equipment and offer each machine first to the engineering firms most likely to want it. What does not sell direct goes to machinery dealers, then to auction. The owner knows the minimum they will receive before anything is offered.

The owner emails us pictures and details of each machine.

  2. Valuation and a minimum price

We value it and agree in writing the minimum the owner will receive.

  3. Offered direct to engineering firms

We match each machine against our database of engineering companies and offer it first to those most likely to want it.

A family trade since 1864

Edwin Millen & Sons, and now H. Millen & Son

The family's first machine tool business, Edwin Millen & Sons, was established in 1864 by Harvey Millen's great-grandfather. More than 160 years on, the work is the same: finding good machinery, knowing what it is worth and putting it in front of the right buyers.

H. Millen & Son is the family's newest business in the trade, run by Harvey Millen, Managing Director.
